How Clinell Works

Paracetic acid is one of the best and safest spore killers. It has a higher kill count than chlorine, can be used in dirty conditions and is environmentally friendly. Peracetic acid often breaks down quickly which provides a problem when storing it for more than a few hours.
However, the Clinell sporicidal wipes solve this problem by allowing the generation of peracetic acid on demand by adding water to the wipe and activating it. This means that the user can store the wipes for long periods without having the worry of the acid breaking down and becoming unusable.
Please note: gloves must be worn before activation of the wipes.

  • Blood and body fluid spills
  • Hospitals - commode cleaning, bed cleaning, surfaces on wards, operating theatres, kitchens, mortuaries, toilet areas, isolation rooms, handles, macerators.

What occurs when the wipes are activated?
The sporicidal wipes are provided as dry and inactive wipes in the pack. Once they are ready to activate, the user must wear gloves. Water or body fluid will activate the dry wipes. Once activated, hydrogen peroxide will be produced which will interact with tetra acetyl ethylene diamine to produce peracetic acid.
Will I need to clean the area I want to wipe before using this product?
You can use these wipes in highly soiled areas as they contain detergent which means that the product cleans as you wipe.
