About PC2 Dipslides
Buy 10+ boxes of slides and pay only £8.34 per box.
PC2 Dip Slides are ideal for various total count applications but are specifically useful for testing in the dairy industry.
The PC2 slide offers a total count on both sides. This dipslide can be used generally but is most often used to test dairy products (such as analysing bacterial growth in milk).
Our Dipslides are contained within a clear shatterproof container and each slide has a large, flexible plastic paddle with culture media on both sides.
Your Dipslides should ideally be stored at around 15 degrees C. Dipslides can be kept in higher or lower temperatures if it is a constant temperature that doesn't fluctuate. Dipslides should be stored in cool dry conditions, but not in a refrigerator. A lot of care is taken to ensure that your Dipslides reach you in perfect condition.
Please note that there is a minimum order of 10 boxes of dipslides for overseas orders.
Microbiology testing products
Microbiology is the study of microscopic organisms; those being unicellular, multicellular, or acellular. We supply laboratory-grade microbiology testing products across Scotland and the UK, including:
What is microbiology?
Microbes influence all living things and contribute to all manner of chemical and physical processes. Because these activities are so diverse, the science of microbiology is multidisciplinary, meaning that it calls on the skills and knowledge of individuals specialising in many different fields of life science, environmental science, and engineering.
Microbiology came from, and continues to profit from, several previously independent scientific and medical disciplines, including bacteriology, virology, public health science, clinical microbiology, immunology, parasitology, vaccinology, and a host of other areas of inquiry.
Microbiologists work in basic and applied research, clinical settings, manufacturing of food and other goods, public health, environmental protection, and other domains. Microbiology testing products including dipslides and incubators help to monitor microbial activity to ensure safety. Dipslides are commonly relied upon to test for levels of aerobic bacteria. As their name suggests, they are dipped into a sample and then incubated for approximately 48 hours. If bacteria is present it will grow and form colonies. Comparing the dipslide with the chart provided will reveal the levels of bacteria present.
