About PCV Dipslides
Buy 10 or more boxes of slides and pay only £8.34 per box.
PCV Dip slides are distinctive for Enterobacteriaceae and offer a total count on one side and enterobacteriaceae on the other. Dip slides are used for calculating microbial growth which can be harmful and which may be present in fluids and on surfaces. Dip slides are provided in boxes of 10 individual slides together with identification labels, user instructions and a comparator chart to quantify and interpret growth results.
Please note that there is a minimum order of 10 boxes of dipslides for overseas orders.
Our Dipslides have a large plastic paddle with culture media on both sides and are contained in a shatterproof container which remains air tight.
Your Dipslides should be stored at around 15 degrees C. Dipslides can be kept in higher or lower temperatures if it is a steadytemperature that doesn't fluctuate. Dip slides should be stored in cool dry conditions (not in a refrigerator). Every care is taken to ensure your Dipslides reach you in a perfect condition.
Microbiology testing products
Microbiology is the study of microscopic organisms; those being unicellular, multicellular, or acellular. We supply laboratory-grade microbiology testing products across Scotland and the UK, including:
What is microbiology?
Microbes influence all living things and contribute to all manner of chemical and physical processes. Because these activities are so diverse, the science of microbiology is multidisciplinary, meaning that it calls on the skills and knowledge of individuals specialising in many different fields of life science, environmental science, and engineering.
Microbiology came from, and continues to profit from, several previously independent scientific and medical disciplines, including bacteriology, virology, public health science, clinical microbiology, immunology, parasitology, vaccinology, and a host of other areas of inquiry.
Microbiologists work in basic and applied research, clinical settings, manufacturing of food and other goods, public health, environmental protection, and other domains. Microbiology testing products including dipslides and incubators help to monitor microbial activity to ensure safety. Dipslides are commonly relied upon to test for levels of aerobic bacteria. As their name suggests, they are dipped into a sample and then incubated for approximately 48 hours. If bacteria is present it will grow and form colonies. Comparing the dipslide with the chart provided will reveal the levels of bacteria present.
